The Best Airbnbs in Paris, Whether You Want a Family-Friendly Space or Eiffel Tower Views

In Paris, space is at a premium. And while we all wish we could post up in the Hôtel de Crillon's stunning suites for a week, a fancy hotel room isn't always the ideal setup—or budget—for a girls' trip or family adventure. That's where Airbnb comes in. Want panoramic views over the city? Book an apartment with a stellar rooftop terrace. Need bunk beds for your little ones? Look for a family-friendly, three-bedroom pied-à-terre. There's truly something for everyone.
As of publication, all listings have 13-digit registration numbers, in accordance with the city's strict rental restrictions, which stipulate that hosts can only rent out their flats for 120 days a year. As a bonus, all of these selections are run by Superhosts, who each have a rating of 4.8 or above, a record of zero cancellations, and at least a 90 percent response rate, meaning they'll get back to you before you can say mais oui.
While we have not stayed in every Airbnb featured, unless otherwise stated, these listings are vetted based on Superhost status, amenities, location, previous guest reviews, and decor. This gallery has been updated with new information since its original publish date.

Former artist's studio on the border of the 14th arrondissement
A book lovers' oasis, this one-bedroom loft (with a sleeper couch downstairs if you want to bring a friend along) offers a two-story library for guests to peruse. Filled with bright pops of color, interesting art, and tons of natural light—thanks to the double-height windows—the home makes for an ideal home base at the border of the 14th and 6th arrondissements. It's just a few blocks from the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Paris catacombs, and the underrated Fondation Cartier pour l'Art Contemporain.

Modern three-bedroom in the 5th arrondissement
First things first, there are three bedrooms in this 5th arrondissement apartment: one with a double bed, one with bunk beds, and one with a single. That means the broody teen can be on their own while the young kids get to bunk up—all while letting the parents have their own haven. There are also two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen for cost-saving dinners around the six-person dining table. Juliet balconies overlooking the street below, a washer/dryer, an elevator, and strong Wi-Fi round out the amenities. Many families have rented out this spot, so be sure to peruse the reviews if yours has particular needs.

Eclectic two-bedroom blocks from the Jardin des Tuileries
If you're looking for something a little moodier, this two-bedroom loft on rue Saint-Honoré should hit the mark. With a private, sunny courtyard at its center, the home manages to feel full of light, despite its almost all-black walls, complimented by natural wood furniture and stonework. The bedrooms are split over the home's two levels, with one lofted above the kitchen and the other on the main floor. You're in the middle of the action, location-wise, too: the home sits above a Louis Vuitton boutique, just steps from the Jardin des Tuileries and few minutes walk to the Louvre.

Breathtaking penthouse loft with cathedral ceilings
The architecture of this one-bedroom apartment is jaw-dropping, thanks to ship-like wooden beams and striking decor, from the robin's egg floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the living room to the completely tiled miniscule-but-functional kitchen. There's even a Juliet balcony with views of the street below. Located in the 2nd arrondissement, you'll be within walking distance to the Palais Garnier opera house and the Louvre.

Plant-filled one-bedroom in the 5th arrondissement
Nothing makes a place feel more like home than a room full of live plants, right? Embrace the “live like a local” vibe and imagine your potential second life as a Parisian, waking up each morning in the apartment's 18th-century inspired bedroom, walking out into the plant-filled living room and then into your kitchen for some coffee. There's also an indoor fireplace for cozy evenings in, and for families, a crib and children's toys. (There is no air-conditioning, though, so be wary of booking in the depths of summer.) While you might be tempted to spend most of your time here, there's plenty right outside your door in the 5th arrondissement, with the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Sorbonne's hopping Rue Saint-Jacques, and the Seine only a few blocks away.

Instagram-friendly Airbnb Plus in the 3rd arrondissement
Between the millennial pink patio, color-blocked bedroom, and every-tchotchke-in-its-place bookshelves, this one-bedroom apartment in the 3rd arrondissement is feed fodder for Instagram users. Besides being very stylish (with both feminine and masculine flourishes), it's an Airbnb Plus with all of the basic amenities you'd want, like Wi-Fi, a hair dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker and dishwasher. It's also on the second floor (considered the “first floor” in Paris), which means minimal stairs at the end of a long day of exploring. (In fact, there's a small elevator if you're really exhausted.)

Two-bedroom in the super-walkable Marais
We've waxed poetic about how Airbnb Plus is best for first-timers to the platform. The homes must pass a 100-point inspection to make the cut, which includes having closet and drawer space for guests, a well-lit entry, easy check-in, comfortable mattresses, a coffee maker, a bathroom free of the host's personal items, and toiletries like shampoo, among other things. Beyond that, this character-filled two-bedroom Airbnb Plus has all of the trappings of a perfect Parisian home, from exposed beams to a stunning fireplace and stone walls. Its location in the Marais is ideal, too, near the oldest food market in Paris (Marché des Enfants Rouges) and one of our favorite cafes in the city (Le Peloton).

One-bedroom with a private terrace and Eiffel Tower views
The only hike you'll need to get to this view is up the three flights of stairs to the apartment. The leg workout is worth it for this terrace, with its views of the Eiffel Tower. Set in a residential neighborhood just minutes from the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, it's far enough from the action to feel like a real home. Plus, the Portuguese-tiled kitchen is a stand-out, so be sure to stop by a grocery store or bakery to pick up what you'll need to cook dinner, then enjoy it in the glow of a Parisian sunset.

Book lovers' heaven in the 10th arrondissement
If you would rather spend your vacation cozied up, relaxing with a nice book, this spot near the Canal Saint-Martin is for you. You don't even have to bring your own book, thanks to the Airbnb's two-story bookshelf that earned this home its spot on our best Airbnbs for book lovers list. You won't be alone here, though, as the 10th arrondissement loft sleeps up to 11, with a huge dining table for group dinners in and a leather couch–filled living room for recapping the day's activities. It's located in a more residential area, away from most of Paris's must-sees, but is a short walk from the Metro, giving you ample opportunity to explore.

Modern, light-filled loft in the 11th arrondissement
With a wall of floor-to-ceiling frosted glass windows in the living room, this home is filled with natural light during the day. The spacious living area also features an eat-in kitchen with a clementine-colored Smeg fridge and a coffee bar, while the petite singular bedroom is tucked away. Best for couples or solo travelers, the Airbnb Plus is located just steps from the Canal Saint-Martin, home to some of the city's hottest restaurants, bars, and cafes. Be sure to take time to walk the mile of aboveground footpaths along the Canal to really feel like a local.

Luxurious four-bedroom villa
We had to throw an opulent, over-the-top option into the mix and this four-bedroom, glass-covered 19th-century villa fit the bill. The home in the 3rd arrondissement has nearly endless space to spread out, including the light-filled, top-floor living room (pictured) with a pool table and wet bar, the minimalist kitchen and dining room, the spa with a sauna and indoor hot tub, and home gym. The bedrooms are perfect for large groups or two families traveling together, with three queen bedrooms and a bunk room with space for four. An Airbnb Luxe, you can also opt into pre-stocking and housekeeping, at an additional fee, and your trip designer (included in the nightly rate) can help you coordinate excursions, much like a hotel concierge would, or a nanny to join you during your stay if you're bringing kids along.

Budget-friendly pick in Montmartre
Finding accommodations for under $150 per night is nearly impossible in Paris—but this apartment on the border of the 18th arrondissement, near the Sacré-Coeur, comes very close. Yes, it's a studio and a tight squeeze, but it fits everything you could need into its small space: you have a double bed, desk area, closet for hanging clothes, dining area, and kitchenette (complete with a mini-fridge, induction double burners, and a Nespresso machine). You'll also have access to the apartment's shared garden, with planters and vines and a small table to sit at while enjoying your morning coffee. As an Airbnb Plus, the apartment has passed an IRL inspection and has strong Wi-Fi, easy check-in, and toiletries like shampoo on hand so you can save space in your carry-on.

One-bedroom with a drool-worthy kitchen
Take a moment and look at this kitchen—just take it in. The one-bedroom apartment's star is the kitchen, which can also be booked as a one-off for cooking events and classes. It's a chef's dream, with a table fit for 12; as many utensils, plating options, knifes, and kitchen gadgets as you can imagine; and all of the necessary appliances. Bonus: The home is just a few blocks from the Thursday/Sunday Marche Bastille, a farmer's market packed with fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, and tons of local cheeses. As for the rest of the apartment, there's a light-filled bedroom and bathroom with original 17th-century fixtures. If you want character, this Airbnb has it in spades.

Family-friendly three-bedroom in the 3rd arrondissement
It doesn't get more family-friendly than this: This three-bedroom home has a kids' room that's ripe for playtime, with bunk beds and porthole windows, and the Airbnb hosts offer a crib, pack 'n play set, and child-sized plates and cups in the kitchen. (There's also a bathtub, which makes getting the kids ready for bed even easier.) Adults will appreciate the architecture of the space, which has a glass ceiling and glass-enclosed loft bedroom that fills the home with natural light. An added bonus? The home, located in the 3rd arrondissement, is just three blocks from the nearest Metro station.

Cozy, charming one-bedroom in the Marais
Everything about this two-story, one-bedroom apartment is charming, from the original beams and the antique dressers to the eclectic art and the shared courtyard outside. While the Marais home may be petite, the hosts have made the most out of the space, separating rooms with glass walls and doors to keep the light flowing all the way through the space. You'll find a well-equipped kitchen, dedicated work space, and a cozy living room, too. Note: This is the hosts' home, so if you're looking for a more impersonal vacation rental stay, rather than a home swap-vibe, look elsewhere.

Light-filled apartment near the Jardin du Luxembourg
One of the best areas to settle into is near the Jardin du Luxembourg, a relaxing area in bustling Paris (that's great for kids to run around in, too). While a park-side Airbnb is hard to come by, this two-bedroom home is pretty close, right on the border of the 5th and 6th arrondissements, and a five-minute walk to the gardens. Beyond location, the apartment has elevator access and air conditioning, both rarities in Parisian apartments. The little things also make a difference: There's a Nespresso machine, a washer and dryer inside, Wi-Fi, and fresh flowers on arrival.
